Daniel Kozmetsky

 
Daniel has been in Austin For 43 years.  Born in California, Daniel moved to Austin at a young age and has not left since.  Daniel is a former High School football coach, Community volunteer and a part time Rancher.
 
Daniel was raised in a family full of philanthropists.  His grandparents, George and Ronya, started the RGK Foundation, which Daniel has served as a board member on both their Adjunct Board and Board of Trustees.  He has also served on the Board of Trustees for the Center for Child Protection and currently sits on the Dell Children’s Hospital Foundation Board.  He along with his wife started a fundraising group for Dell Children’s Hospital called the Dell Children’s Trust of Central Texas which has helped fund many important things for Dell Children’s Hospital.
 
After graduating from McCallum High School in Austin, he enrolled at St. Edward’s University in Austin, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.  He also spent two years on the St. Edward’s tennis team. After graduating St. Edwards he began his coaching career at St Andrew’s Episcopal School where he coached and taught PE for 15 years.  Then he moved to Regents School of Austin and coached for two more years before retiring to spend more time watching his kids play their sports.
 
Daniel and his wife  love spending time with their 3 children, and going to University of Texas sporting events.  He also loves playing tennis, golf and spending as much time as he can at his ranch.
